Firefox 22.0 Large Text Workaround

FirefoxDue to code changes with the Firefox browser, some may notice that text on websites is blown up and much larger than before, and also favicons and graphics seem blurry.

The code changes are for HiDPI support for high resolution display but many users have complained that alot websites text look much too big with the latest update, causing a horizontal sidebar on most websites.

To fix this issue, you could reinstall an older version of Firefox, which I don’t recommend, or follow these simple Firefox 22.0 large text workaround steps:

1. In the location bar of your Firefox browser type about:config and press enter.

2. You’ll get a warning come up, click it and proceed to the next screen.

3. In the search bar type layout.css.devPixelsPerPx

4. Change its value to 1.0

5. If web pages still need to be adjusted after changing this preference then you can look at the Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint extensions. [/stextbox]
