How To Use Gmail With Your Own Branded Domain

This tutorial is for clients who JCM Design has already set up Email Forwarding for their domain.

I’ll show you how to set up your Gmail so you can use instead of whenever you send an e-mail from your gmail account.

1 Log on to Gmail.

2 Click on Mail Settings (you’ll find the link in the top right corner).

3 Click on Accounts and Import.

4 Click on Add another email address you own.

5 Add your branded address.

6 Click on the Next Steps button.

7 Click on the Send Verification button. Gmail will now send you a message with a link that you must click to verify that in fact you own your branded domain. The verification email will be automatically forwarded to your regular Gmail address.

8 Open the verification email and click on the verification link.

9 Go back to the Accounts and Import tab of the Mail Settings menu (see 2 and 3). You should see your branded address email address already listed there.

10 Click on the link that says ‘make default’ next to your branded address email address.

11 Check the radio button next to “always reply from my default address”.
